Walkin On Water Surf Charity Program

WoW Charity Program – Supporting local charities, local organisations, local community groups, cahrity groups and other good causes here on the beach

We are passionate about our Walkin’ On Water Charity Programs and our contribution back to the Community

We are extremely lucky that we are in the position to able to have our WoW Charity Programs and to be able to support those that do such a great job for our community and to share our amazing aquatic playground with those that maybe otherwise would not have the opportunity to be involved in a surf program and may not have the chance to surf and feel that buzz and rush of catching and riding a wave!

Each and every year we run an extensive Charity Program. In 2015, we had quite an ambitious goal is to provide Free Surf Programs to 500+ children. While this was a huge goal for a small local business it is was achievable. We were stoked to have been able to have so many children surfing with us for free, with no cost to them.

We work with a large number of Charities and Community Organisations to engage their clientele and customers through the offering of completely free surf programs or highly discounted programs. A lot of the time this may be with Indigenous groups and children’s charities but we are very open to working with and assisting any worthwhile beneficial organisation and charity. Some of the Charities and Community organisations that we have offered free surfing programs to include The Smith Family, Act for Kids, The Pyjama Foundation, Camp Quality, Anglicare, Diabetes QLD, Multicultural Family Organisation, Churches of Christ, Krurungal and Kalwun Indigenous Corporations, QLD Program of Assistance to Survivors of Terror and Trauma, Refugee Organisations, Aunties and Uncles and the list goes on!!

We ran a Christmas Comes Early Program with children from the Smith Family. We gave up to 90 children the opportunity to come and surf with us for free on the weekend before Christmas. Here is a BlogPost and links to photos

We support Gold Coast Surf Clubs and provide a great deal of merchandise for Nippers to support the Nipper Programs as well as offer hugely discounted Surf Club Surfing Programs to the nippers. We support numerous charities and community projects with the donation of lessons and surfing merchandise.

Hi Jamo,

Thanks again for all your help mate, it was a great day and the kids have not stopped taking about it and keep asking when are we going surfing again.

I will touch base with you in the future to see if we can do something like this again for the kids again as I know they really want to.

Thanks again,
